Revised PTLLS: 12-credit versions
We have launched the revised 12-credit versions of the PTLLS qualifications at Level 3 (600/2774/5) and Level 4 (600/2771/X).
These qualifications are available for registration.
The Level 3 is not eligible for funding. The Level 4 is eligible for funding, although it is not yet showing on the LARA database (as is the case with other awarding organisations; we are pursuing this with the Skills Funding Agency).
Original PTLLS: Six-credit versions
We have extended the six-credit versions of PTLLS at Level 3 (500/1514/X) and Level 4 (500/2056/0) to allow you to prepare for the change to the 12-credit versions and to allow you to draw down funding for the Level 4 qualifications until the 12-credit versions are updated on the LARA database.
We will continue to offer the six-credit versions until 31 July 2012.
Summary of changes
The layout and structure of the PTLLS qualifications has changed between the six-credit versions and the 12-credit versions, but the input from the delivery side should not have to alter significantly.
The specification for the revised 12-credit versions is available on the website. Please note that automatic approval can be granted for these qualifications. Advice on confirming approval is on page 8 of the specification, which you'll find on the subject page for the Level 3 or Level 4 qualification.
Next steps
- Please consult the LARA database or the SFA to find out when funding for the new 12-credit versions is confirmed.
- Please review your assessment strategies and assessment documentation to ensure they will cover all the assessment criteria in the revised 12-credit versions of PTLLS.
