Apprenticeship grant for SME employers interested in taking on an apprentice aged between 16 and 24

The National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) is offering grants for small to medium-sized businesses who take on a new apprentice aged between 16 and 24. The grant has been designed to help employers meet the initial costs of having a young apprentice.

The NAS is offering 40,000 Apprenticeship Grants to employers up until March 2013, with a value of £1,500 in addition to the training costs. The grant is aimed at businesses with fewer than 250 employees.
