The BTEC Level 2 First Certificate and Diploma in Land-based Technology are designed to introduce learners to working in the sector or prepare them for further study, such as a BTEC National qualification or an appropriate NVQ. The choice of specialist units provides greater focus, with disciplines such as vehicle engine system principles, routine vehicle maintenance and land-based workshop practice.

The BTEC Firsts in Land-based Technology were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 2 Certificate, Extended Certificate and Diploma in Land-based Technology from September 2010. Find out more
