Policy Watch: What does the growth strategy mean for education and skills?

The current word of the moment is growth, or to be more precise, two words: economic growth. It was mentioned 23 times in the Chancellor’s recent Budget speech, and has been a staple in ministerial speeches ever since David Cameron first highlighted the importance of growth in an address to big bosses last October.  

But what is growth, why does it matter and what plans does the government have for it, especially for the world of education and skills?
