If you are a centre offering Health & Social Care and Childcare qualifications in England please attend either the London or Manchester events which includes a Functional Skills workshop.
 
Centres offering Health & Social Care and Childcare qualifications in Wales and Northern Ireland should attend the Cardiff Event which includes an update from the Care Council for Wales.
 
Objectives:
 
This event will cover the following:
  • changes to qualification specifications
  • changes to the Quality Assurance Process
  • a workshop on the delivery of Functional Skills (London and Manchester only)
  • an update from the Care Council for Wales (Cardiff only)
  • a workshop on evidencing best practice for Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

At the start of the event delegates will be asked to identify key issues and topics they would like covered. The Sector Team supporting this event will do their best to covered these topics at the event or follow up afterwards.

Cost

This event is free of charge, however, if places are booked and delegates do not attend on the day a charge of £90 will be made. Places must be cancelled at least 7 days prior to the event. 

These events are aimed at trainers, deliverers and assessors delivering or considering delivering Pearson Edexcel, Pearson EDI and Pearson BTEC qualifications.

The objective of these events is to:

  • To update attendees on the latest developments in their sector 
  • Notify you on current approval and quality procedures and qualifications' funding status
  • Introduce you to the people and resources available to support you in delivering the qualifications
  • Share best practice through interactive workshops and discussions
  • Provide opportunities to network with peers and get your questions answered by the Pearson Work Based Learning team.
