The Qualifications and Standards Committee ensures that Pearson Education Ltd. awards qualifications to the standard expected by its stakeholders.

The Committee monitors Pearson Education Ltd’s compliance with its regulatory requirements as set out in Ofqual’s General Conditions for Awarding Organisations as well as the requirements of other regulators such as SQA, DfES and CCEA.

The Committee also provides Pearson Education Ltd. with advice and guidance on the nature and performance of its qualifications and the implications of new qualifications-related initiatives, to help maintain the standards, probity and fitness for purpose of those qualifications.
